Who We Are & What We Do
History
Our association (IGW) was founded in 2003 by people from various nations in Würzburg. We are one of the first associations in Germany that hold all lectures and Friday sermons in both Arabic and German. As a multicultural community center, we offer regular religious events, educational programs, and social activities.
Structure of IGW
The IGW is led by an elected board of directors, elected every two years. The association is registered and recognized as non-profit.
Our Purposes
- Promotion of religious and social activities
- Regular prayers and Friday sermons in German and Arabic
- Educational programs for children and adults
- Promoting integration and intercultural dialogue
- Supporting the urban community of Würzburg
Our Mosque
Our current mosque is located at Barbarastraße 31, 97074 Würzburg. It serves as a central place for prayers, events, and community work.
